IronGate Custom Homes

I’m Nate Thayer, President of Irongate Custom Homes. I was raised in Parowan,
Utah, and at the age of 15, I left school, picked up a hammer, and began my career as
a residential framer building large, complex custom homes in Southern Utah,
Texas, and Las Vegas. For the next 20 years, I framed custom homes and built many
from the ground up.  In 2010 I founded Irongate Custom Homes and began building
in Cedar City and the surrounding area.
My experience gives me a unique understanding of architectural and structural
design, and I’ve put that to use drawing plans for many of the beautiful homes we
have built and showcased in the Iron County “Festival of Homes.” Far from being just
a “contractor,” Irongate Custom Homes is a building firm that employs
skilled craftsmen, completing much of the work ourselves.
